Technical Consultants
Consultants play a key role in supporting national
responses and must have sound competencies in order to offer quality services.
The TSF offers consultants and consulting organisations the opportunity to
maintain and build on their current professional skills set so they are in a
position to ensure quality service delivery for HIV and AIDS programmes
scale-up.
The TSF is also
committed to building a pool of high level consultants, representative of the Eastern Africa region and is always looking to expand its
database. Consultants and agencies who wish to be considered for potential

Through the TSF, consultants and consulting agencies may
access professional development options that include:
- Training opportunities in Strategic & operational planning, costing & budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, financial and programme management
- Orientation workshops in technical areas related to strengthening capacity of Global Fund incountry mechanisms and grantees
- Training courses in process consulting skills
- Placement on 'shadow' assignments to gain appropriate hands-on experience
- Access to current and new HIV and AIDS resources via an online TSF resource centre
- Assistance in accessing key documentation and information related to specific TSF assignments or to more general issues in the areas of HIV and AIDS programming
- Participation in semi-annual regional experience sharing forums
All TSF Capacity Development activities are fully
funded. To participate in an activity or request a service offered under the
Capacity Development Programme, please contact Cathy Beacham - TSF Manager at Cathy.Beacham@amref.org. Consultants who apply to participate in CD activities must be registered in the
TSF database. Due to high demand, priority
selection will be given to consultants with a strong track record in HIV and
AIDS technical assistance delivery.
